If there’s one thing I love more than hearing the opening stanza to “Your Love” by The Outfield and knowing that for the next three minutes none of the world’s foibles matter, it’s just time to rock; it’s a Joe Lauzon fight.

J-Lau will be stepping back into the cage tomorrow night as he takes on the rapidly ascending George Sotiropoulos in a potential “Fight of the Night.”

Lauzon scorched on to the scene at UFC 63 when he started the now-outdated-trend of finishing Jens Pulver in the 1st round. Since then he’s gone 5-2 in the UFC and looked like an absolute monster in his last fight, where he dominated and submitted Cake Ruediger in the 1st.

Since being eliminated in the semi-finals of the 6th season of TUF, George Sotiropoulos has been straight up ripping through the UFC’s lightweight division. Six and zero in his UFC career, G-Sot will face his toughest challenger on Saturday night.

The styles of the two present very interesting problem for one-another. J-Lau’s boxing vs. Sotiropoulos’ grappling is what the fight will come down to. While Lauzon pulling off the upset isn’t out of the question, we’ve seen thst Joe is susceptible to being overpowered and G-Sot will be the stronger of the two. Make of it what you will…

Expect awesomeness to kick things off in Auburn Hills this Saturday night!
